Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Jessica and I am 16 years old. I am currently attending Valley Christian Academy, and participating in a Media Studies class, which I will be keeping you updated on. Some things that I enjoy are spending time with family, drawing, photography, camping, watching movies, and working on my Faith account on Instagram. My favourite subjects and strong-points in school include Art, ELA, and History. One subject that isn't exactly my strong-point is math, as I mostly enjoy more of the creative and artistic part of school, rather than the analytical. I sometimes tend to be a perfectionist, and am very outgoing and humorous, once I become comfortable around those I get to know. Some things that I enjoy about school are the social aspects and learning new things. I enjoy being able to express my creativity and experience new opportunities :)
One thing that I've really learnt over the past year and what I'm still learning, is the importance of stepping out of comfort zones and trying new things. I've also learnt that change isn't necessarily a bad thing, and it's one thing that's caused me to grow closer to God. During the pandemic, I began to realize that life is full of many new opportunities and experiences, and that it's important to accept those opportunities while you can. I also began to understand the importance of prayer; especially in a world that is faced with so many challenges. My challenge for you is to ask yourself what you've learnt from 2020, and what you can take with you in regards to how you've grown, and what you've experienced.
